Delivery & Returns
Delivery
Everything here ships from the UK. Nothing is coming in from overseas, nothing sits in customs, and nothing takes three weeks.
What we hold and what we make
Two different things happen when you order, and they move at different speeds.
| Type | What it covers | Leaves us |
|---|---|---|
| Stocked | Decor, homeware, band pieces, instrument accessories, vinyl storage, instruments | Same or next working day |
| Made to order | Prints, framed art, personalised pieces, apparel | 3–5 working days, then posted |
If an order contains both, we send the stocked items straight away rather than holding everything back for the print. You may get two parcels. Both tracking numbers are in your dispatch email.
Cost and timing
| Service | Cost | Arrives |
|---|---|---|
| UK standard | Free on orders of £50 and over, otherwise £4.99 | 2–4 working days |
Larger pieces — record tables, acoustic panels, instruments in cases — travel on a courier rather than through the post, and occasionally arrive a day behind the rest of an order.
October to December
Our suppliers slow down over the Christmas run, and honesty serves you better than optimism here: allow an extra day or two on stocked items through November and December, and get personalised orders in early. We will put real cut-off dates on the site once the carriers publish theirs.
Returns
Changed your mind
You have 30 days from delivery. The item needs to be unused and back in its original packaging — on boxed items like clocks, tables and instruments the box genuinely matters, so open it carefully if you think it might go back.
That 30 days is our own promise and it is longer than the law requires. Your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is to cancel within 14 days of delivery.
Return postage for a change of mind is yours to pay. We do not send a prepaid label for these and the cost of getting the item back is not refunded. We say so here because we are required to tell you before you buy, and because finding out afterwards is a miserable way to learn it. On anything bulky, measure up first. The refund covers what you paid for the item plus the standard outbound delivery you were charged, and lands within 14 days of the item reaching us.
Our prints are made once you order them, but that does not take away your right to change your mind. They are our own standard designs in standard sizes, not made to your specification, so the ordinary cancellation right applies and we honour 30 days on top of it. Only genuinely personalised pieces — your own name, words or image — would be exempt, and we do not sell anything like that at present. If we ever do, the product page will say so before you buy.
Damaged, faulty or wrong
Email us with your order number and a photo. Return postage on a faulty item is never yours to pay — we arrange collection or send a label.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have 30 days from delivery to reject a faulty item for a full refund. After that, and for the first six months, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and it is on us to show the fault was not there when it arrived. Your rights against us run well beyond any manufacturer or supplier warranty and we do not hide behind one.
Strings, and things that wear out
Consumables are a special case, and it is worth being clear. A string that breaks during normal playing is wear, not a fault — that is what strings do. A string that arrives already corroded, kinked or wound wrong is faulty, and we will replace it. If you are not sure which you have, send a photo and we will tell you honestly.
Officially licensed pieces
Everything in Band Merch is genuine licensed stock bought through UK wholesalers who hold the licence. It is not printed by us and it is not a copy. If a licensed piece arrives damaged it is handled exactly like any other fault.
Cancelling before dispatch
Email us the moment you decide. Stocked orders go to the warehouse for picking quickly, so if we catch it in time we cancel and refund in full. Once an order is picked and packed we cannot stop it, and if that happens we will tell you straight away and handle it as a return — covering the postage ourselves, since the timing was ours and not yours.
