Terms of service
These terms govern your use of koveandcanvas.com and anything you buy from it. By placing an order you accept them. Nothing in them removes or limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Last updated: September 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
Kove and Canvas is a trading name of Jason Faulkner, a sole trader established in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@koveandcanvas.com
2. How a contract is made
Everything on the site is an invitation to buy, not an offer. Your order is the offer. A contract exists when we send you an email confirming the order has been accepted — not when you click pay, and not when the payment clears.
If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund you in full.
3. Prices and mistakes
Prices are in pounds sterling. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay.
We are not VAT registered at present, so no VAT is charged and no VAT invoice can be issued.
We try hard to price things correctly. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price — a decimal point in the wrong place — we are not obliged to sell at it. We will contact you, and you can confirm at the right price or cancel for a full refund. We will not simply take the money and send nothing.
4. Products
We sell two ranges: art prints and framed prints of our own design, made to order; and alternative home decor, which we buy in and which ships from a UK warehouse.
Colours on your screen will not match ink on paper, glaze or painted resin exactly; screens emit light and objects reflect it. Sizes are stated on each product page and in the print size guide, and we recommend measuring your wall before ordering, particularly for framed pieces.
Product images are representations of the design. Wood grain, frame finish and paper texture vary slightly between individual pieces, as they do with anything made rather than moulded.
5. Intellectual property
The print designs we sell are our own original work. We drew them; we own the copyright. Products in our decor range that carry an artist’s or brand’s name are the copyright of that artist or brand, and we sell them as a retailer rather than as their author.
When you buy a print you are buying that physical article. You may hang it, give it, resell that copy, and photograph it in your own home or studio. You may not reproduce the design, print further copies, scan it, sell it as a digital file, or use it as part of a commercial product. If you would like to use a design commercially, email us — the answer is often yes, and it costs nothing to ask.
The Kove and Canvas name, the site's text and its photography are also ours and are protected in the same way.
6. Using the site
Do not attempt to break into the site, scrape it wholesale, overload it, or use it to send anything unlawful. Do not order under a false name or with a payment method that is not yours.
7. If something goes wrong
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses — these terms cover consumer sales, and if you buy for a business, we have no liability for lost profit, lost business or lost opportunity.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 stand in full.
8. Events outside our control
If something genuinely beyond our control delays your order — a carrier strike, a flood at the printer — we will contact you and either agree a new date or refund you. We will not pretend it is not happening.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it, so a later change cannot affect a purchase you have already made.
10. Law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring them in your own country's courts.
11. Other policies
Our Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.
